Assorted Buns

On Tuesday..
i reuse the same recipe frm
the charcoal bun but i ommited the
charcoal powder. i also added lotus paste,
kaya, raisins and some cinnamon-sugar for fillings.

Turn out good but my dad said too
much filling(like eating mooncake)
i thought it was ok..like eating pau..
generous mah..haha..
dunno what 2 make 4 the next 1..
hhmmm??

Secret Recipe/Chilli's

Few days ago..went to JJ
to get some groceries with mum..
while miss sugar have some 'meeting'
with her pals. Then , we went to
Secret Recipe cause mum wanna
eat the Soba Noodles..

So i dunno what 2 order..
dun feel like eating western or
stuff. So I ate the Chicken Pie/Soup..
I ate Dome's be4 and both are really
good!! Dome is more veggie chicken taste
while Secret Recipe is more creamy
mushroom chicken taste.

 The waitress heat up the chicken pie
till the soup spilled on the plate!!
(could u see??) haha..
but it was yummy!!
( that day tried the cornish chicken at leisure mall
the waitress heat up till its hard and slightly burn
on the bottom..but the inside was good.)
hahaha!!!!!!!

Then..after a few days..
we did rebonding..and i cut my hair.
a lil fringe..total different but now long ady
(very fast and irritates my eyes)
then dad reached home early and we
went to Bangsar Shopping Mall
to eat Chilli's.

We even bought some fresh chocolates!!
Yumm!!! Dark cocoa and nuts!!
Miss Sugar bought some Willy Wonka
Jawbreaker Candy ( one candy has 3 flavours..interesting eh?)
Btw at chilli's i dunno what 2 eat so i decided
to try their ribs..(dunno whether can beat Tony Roma's)

We orders Nacho too!! with the cheese beef dip!!
btw the reason we r eating there becuz
 Miss Sugar WANT to eat Nachos!!
The ribs were tender and moist but
their sauce was nt barbeque-y enough..
but nt bad..(the sweet corn rules!!)

i can't finish the ribs but we gt
ta pau some ribs for my doggie!!
( he so lan ci and he finished a rib on that night!!
 he even growled at me!!)

Charcoal Buns!

That day..
as always..i baked again. every Monday :)
that's the beauty of holidays!!
Even better when Christmas is here!!
But i'm also worried of my PMR results..oh no!!

I decided to follow the Tang Zhong method ( water roux)
this method is used by the Japanese and the chinese
started to use this method to make breads
where u could get practically anywhere!!

At first i mix flour and water n stirring them
constantly at medium heat. 
after awhile..it gets thicken up and that's
the TANG ZHONG!

Ok. then i'm nt sure to follow which recipe..
at the last minute..i searched 4 sweet bun
that has tang zhong.( i think i could add in
to any other recipes but i'm x sure yet..)
Since i have some charcoal powder..

i just add in to the recipe.
after rising and shaping..
i popped them in the oven for 13-15mins.
but the buns r so black that it's a lil hard
to tell that they're cooked..so i just go by 
the tapping and smell..

Luckily they were perfectly baked!!
i quickly took a piece and examined
the texture..GOODNESS!!
it's that soft and fluffy. just like what they said
it will!!Hands down 4 the softness!!

The great thing about these buns are 
they are zero preservative.
they last long and they r still soft and fresh after
the next day!! I"M AMAZED!
Will definitely add tang zhong in my next baking
episode!!:)

Buchty Bread

On Mon.. I flip through my
'Bread Bible' and look through my marked
page.
I also wanted to try many type of bread but at the same time i
wanted 2 try the bread frm the  net..
hhmmm..i choose the Buchty Bread frm my book.
(just try them since i bought it)

this bread is ok but inside is nt moist enough.
the outside is coated with butter.
outside is crunchy and moist but inside was soso..
my other buns are nicer..hehe..next time
i'll make charcoal bread..!!

but she never finished them!! IDIOT!!!

My dad's worker is getting married and 
got two 'mooncake' ( i dunno wat they r called)
delicious!! Not too sweet!!

 Red Bean filling( looks really black inside till i mistaken it with black sesame..

 The skin cracked so i peel it off..lotus filling!! 

My mum suggest we eat leftover spagetti
but I no mood. since she bought some bread..(swt..no 1 will eat mine then)
we eat sandwich lah..

Church

on sat, my sis had to church to
do some stuff..
after that we went petaling street.
Miss Sugar was sleeping btw.
We bought my CHESTNUT!!!!!!HAHAHA!!

Then we went 2 eat beef noodle..the dry 1.

Yesterday. i baked a pumpkin and walnut bread frm my
new bread cookbook.
The outcome was ok but texture is funny!!
Very compact.
